Last week I eagerly tasted the 2021 Sonoma Coast bottling, which blends fruit from their two estate vineyards with other coastal sites. By the beautiful aromatics alone I was enraptured and knew it was special. Sure enough, the palate delivered not just the expected fruit notes (raspberry, red cherry, currants), but most importantly other characteristics pinot-lovers seek (rose, black tea, sage) and a gentle, elegant texture that can be so elusive to find.
