Year after year, this wine has been our most popular Sancerre. Young winemaker Pierre Martin has forged a name for himself after splitting off from his father, Yves, who tutored him in making exceptional sauvignon blanc. With just 10 acres of vineyard featuring 35+ year old vines in the premier village of Chavignol, Pierre has quickly proven his abilities to deliver first class Sancerre. Sustainable farming in the fields with absolutely no pesticides or herbicides is followed by vinification and aging in stainless steel tanks to preserve all of the freshness. Enjoy notes of gooseberry and lime leading to a lengthy finish of limestone and white grapefruit, while enjoying soft, young goat cheese or a fresh, summer garden salad. (Gary)
