This crowd-favorite from last year’s lineup returns this year with a new vintage. Another favorite small grower at Spiritus, the Chiquet family has spanned eight generations of growers since 1746 and were the first grower/winemaker to bottle their own champagne in 1919. Their ‘Special Club’ cuvee is only made in the best years using Premier Cru (and some years Grand Cru) estate vineyards. This 2015 vintage, composed of 68% chardonnay and 32% pinot noir, aged a whopping 7+ years on the lees to produce outstanding complexity and finesse. (Gary)
