Vranken - Brut Champagne Demoiselle Tête de Cuvée NV
A fantastic example of what a flavorful, yet balanced champagne should be! Featuring classic notes of brioche, apple, toasted almond and lemon curd, a glass of this ‘Demoiselle’ instantly reminds you why special occasions deserve true French champagne. Founded in 1976 by Paul-Francois Vranken, the maison now also owns Pommery and Heidsick Monopole. Spiritus was honored to welcome his daughter, Mailys Vranken, CEO of their U.S. operations, to the store last month (see photo below) and taste their lineup. This non-vintage brut is mostly Premier and Grand Cru chardonnay plus 20% pinot noir and strikes a perfect, satisfying chord. (Gary)
