The famed Perrin family began cultivating grapes in 1909 around the storied landscape of Chateauneuf-du-Pape and wisely expanded their holdings over the next hundred years to include some choice morsels of terrain. They were among the first large converts to organic farming 40 years ago. Now, both of these ‘Nature’ wines are Certified Organic.
The blanc is highly aromatic and reminiscent of a savory and creamy Bordeaux white. With a lightly floral character of jasmine and hints of green plum, dried pineapple, salted almonds, and crenshaw melon, this white rolls on a fleshy, silky palate and a slight nuance of muted honey over beeswax. Pair a bottle with sautéed chicken with bacon and potatoes. (Jenny)
