Pat and Joe Campbell are icons in Oregon's winemaking history, founding their flagship winery in 1974 and passing the tradition on to son Adam. Other winemakers in Oregon's valley talk about the Campbells in hushed, reverent tones or brag about soliciting wine advice from them. Adam now oversees 380 planted acres producing estate-grown, cool-climate, hand-crafted wines that rival the best in the world. His pinot gris is complex with notes of ripe cantaloupe and summer melon, ginger, nectarines and yellow peaches, round and harmonious. Vegetable frittata, roasted chicken, or skillet-seared whole trout would be amazing with this wine. (Jenny)
