Winemaker Adrien Roustan farms his vineyards biodynamically at his estate, named for the Greek god of mountains, in Vacqueyras. This bottling named ‘Tire Bouchon’ (corkscrew in French) is an unoaked blend of grenache, cinsault, carignan and other native varietals, intended for simple, pure pleasure. I find notes of mixed berries on an earthy, leathery backdrop. This very smooth, pale red can also be served slightly chilled on warm summer days and evenings. (Gary)
