Brothers Tito and Mauro Bisci run the family vineyard their father Guiseppe established in the hills near Ancona, Italy, just south of Venice. Located midway up the mountainous chain that crests above the Adriatic Sea, the vredicchio vines are tended organically and traditionally. Aromas of jasmine, almond blossom, and hawthorn result from the limestone rich soils, and flavors of fresh pineapple and yellow apple refresh the palate. A beautiful pale straw yellow color and subtle acidity add to this verdicchio's allure. Uncork this alongside garden salads, simply prepared fish filets, or light meats. (Jenny)
